Take picture of my "xia mian"

Last Saturday, before our prawning session with our friends, we headed to Bishan, opp Junction 8, there's this kopitiam where Ms J said there's a stall selling nice prawn mee. So both darling Tootsie and myself took pictures of the prawn mee....In fact it was so so only.

The joke of the title of this entry came about like this:

After the prawning session, it was almost close to midnight, when we suggested for coffee. In the car, Darling Tootsie was saying we should have take pictures of tonight's activity and post in facebook.

Mrs Tootsie replied: Ya lor, I only take picture of your "xia mian".

There's a moment of silence.

Mr Tootsie clarified what I said: "Do you mean prawn mee?" " For a min, I was thinking why you take picture of my "Xia Mian" (*Mr Tootsie was thinking dirty lor*)

Everyone broke into laughter...in fact our guy friend, Mr T, initially thought I was referring to that "Xia Mian".

Hey Guys why are u always thinking of something "dirty".

In future I gona pronounce properly : Xia (1) Mian (4) in hanyu pinyin = Prawn Mee

I punched Mr Tootsie's eye

I do not know why I had a dream and in my dream I wanted to shoo off this lady. Suddenly I heard a loud "OUCH". I woke up. Mr Tootsie was grumbling in pain. I had punched his left eye. Darling, I din mean it.....I din know I can also do action while I sleep :P

Sorry :(

Muacks to ur left eye...

Mrs Tootsie

My first MTM main gown

I am so excited to see my first mtm gown in Feb :)

Last Thurs, after going down to HDB to pay the 5% downpayment for our house, we had an appointment with my bridal designer Mrs J to work on the design of my first gown. Having requested not to have a pure white gown as I find it too common already, I told Mrs J I wanted some colour to contrast with the white gown.

Although we did confirm on the design after trying 3 gowns, after going home, I browse thru the wedding mag again to get an idea of my gown, I still felt rather unsure....
so again I buzz Mr Tootsie to see Mrs J yesterday hahaha. Initially I wanted to have satin material for my bottom back gown, however, as the design cannot match off with that material, it was finally confirmed that organza material shall be used for my gown! I have used one of my fav colour (its a sweet colour) and coincidentally, before I decided on that colour, I already have in mind to use that colour for my flowers (*have not even told Mrs J and she seems to know what am I thinking :) )

Keeping my fingers crossed to see my first gown in feb and hope it turns out to be a princessy under Mrs J's hands. Afterwhich, will be discussing the design of my second gown.

So I guess for this 2 months, I shall start to shop for my shoes so that I can wear it for my fitting.

My version of the proposal

It was about couple month back when I decided to propose to Mrs Tootsie on the 2nd dec which is our 2nd anniversary. It will be easy to spring a surprise as she will think it is our 2nd anniversary surprise. Mrs Tootsie is not very smart.. lol.

I only started to crack my brain for ideas in November but it was a busy month. I had to do lotsa OT especially the starting of them month. Well, it was an excuse as I'm a procastinator as well. It was 2 weeks before that I really thought hard about it and the plan came about. A week and a half before I went to buy the suppliers and A week before I start making it.

Well, the plan was like this...

The items: my "ring" which was watches instead of diamond ring. a gigantic diamond ring for some fun factor. A book which I'll pen my thoughts and later on paste the pictures of the night and make it into a book for us to remember this special day. A veil to signify my new bride. And Champagne to celebrate the day.

Since Mrs Tootsie likes candles, I plan to get a frame and put the words "will you marry me?" on it. I thought I could frame it after I propose but it was not meant to be. It took too long to light and everything burnt. It was in ruins. But anyway, I had a hard time looking for the candles. I ask around if anyone knew where I could get candles in letters form. I know prima deli has it and A friend helped me ask(thanks Miss J)but they don't sell it. I thought to go those toys shop to get those ABCs stuff and see if I can get a mould but I couldn't find it. I look for the mould at art friend but also I could not find it. End up I managed to melt the candle, pour it into the used tealight and crave it out from there. It was hard work and a couple of them crack as I crave them.

Next, I made a book. In front was an angel wing. This represent Mrs Tootsie who is my angel :) Inside I pen my feelings. I intend to make this book a book where we'll remember this special day. After this day, we'll develop the pics and paste them inside. So only this 2 items are handmade.

The settings: At east coast where I 1st ask her to be my gf. I will Reenact the whole scene again. But this time is a proposal to be my wife then gf.

So I ask her to turn around while I prepared the items. It was suppose to be like this... I lay the tablecloth, throw some rose petals, lay my candles in front of her with the watches and book beside. I play "somebody" on my handphone. Put the veil on Mrs Tootsie head and ask her to turn around and open her eyes and she'll see me kneeling with the diamond ring.

But it turned out like this.. The candles took like forever to light up. By the time I panick and forgot about my song! I was dripping sweat like nothing. Mrs Tootsie turn around with the veil but when she open her eyes, the candles almost finish burning. We try to take some videos and pics but soon it burn finish and the canvas was burnt through. After that Mrs Tootsie was no longer distracted, she woke up and realise hey there is a lot of sea cockroaches around and start screaming like crazy. So we had to move to the bench like before to talk and show her the other stuff I bought for her.

It wasnt what I had in mind.. but nothing is perfect and I'm glad I had made this day a special one for my angel :) and I hope she liked it!

Since it was also our 2nd year anniversary, Mrs Tootsie made some things for me knowing I had handmade something for her. She made me some lovely brownies reading "happy 2nd anniversary" It was delicious. Thank you darling! She also bought me my 1st automatic watch which I love it so much! It was a lovely day!

A beautiful Memory I shall not forget ~ 02 Dec 2008 ~

That night was a lovely night. Both Mr and Mrs Tootsie were at East Coast Park, a reminicent of how Dar asked me to be his gf on the 2nd Dec 06 :) We decided to celebrate our 2nd year anniversary there, never did I expect a surprise from Darling Tootsie :) Yes Mr Tootsie has officially proposed to Mrs Tootsie on that very day, that very night at the same place. Recollecting back, I remembered Darling asked me to be his gf at a bench, initially his plan was to pop the question at the water break but his plan was kinda spoilt by the sea cockraoches crawling about the break water that has freaked me up!

And so on that night 2nd Dec 08, we did went back to the same water break, sat there with my back facing Darling Tootsie while he was preparing something romantic to celebrate our anni. I was actually busy using a mag and hitting on the break water to distract the sea cockroaches from disturbing me! Have really no idea that Darling was actually going to propose to me. In fact thinking back, for the past few weeks, Darling has been rather secretive. When going shopping with him, I cannot see the things he had bought and for that past one week, I was actually banned from going to his house....Even Darling Tootsie's mummy wanna brew bird nest for me, she had no choice but to make for me when Darling had proposed to me. Sob sob.
So with my eyes still closed, Darling Tootsie put a veil on my head...I can feel it. I wore a veil! I kinda suspect. When I opened my eyes, the song: "Somebody" was played in the background (I had to visualise that because Darling told me he had forgotten to play that song!)
I saw .....some candles lighted up...In fact this is the piece of art that Darling Tootsie has made for the past one week but was ruined and its a pity he did not take a picture of it. Its a candle layout lighted with the words : Will You Marry Me . I knew this art piece was hard to make. According to him, he had to steam the candles and melt them and pour them into the tealight forming the letter

Candle layout lighted with the words : Will You Marry Me however it was ruined...a pity though.

Next Darling Tootsie presented to me this huge ring. It was really huge and very creative of him :)
He knelt down and pop the question:
Darling Tootsie: Can I ask you a question?
I replied: Yes?
Darling Tootsie: Will you marry me?
As usual I giggled alittle and said Yes :)
Besides that Darling Tootsie has hand made a furry book with an angel wing which represents me :) He has penned all his love in this book (a total of 4 pages that took him 30 mins to write) and I was touched by what he wrote. My eyes did rimmed with tears abit but not so exaggerating to the extend my tears will drop. I was really touched and appreciated of what he has done for me!

A book of love :) Sweet! Very touched indeed!

I guessed the sea cockroaches wanna share this happiness for us and they came back again! I freaked out once again and wanna get back to the bench *_*

So at the bench, darling presented his proposal "ring"...nope its not a ring. It was a unique proposal of a watch :) Thank u darling, but you shouldnt have spent so much on that.

And the finale, a toast of champagne. Cheers! and we ended the lovely night at Chai Chee minced meat noodle place where I electrocuted Darling Tootsie keke :P

A Beautiful Memory that is still in my mind even when I dreamed of it :)

Love u Darling...And once again Happy 2nd Anniversary! Hope you like the muffins I made for u:)

My CNY business :)

After the first successful trial of my hand baked sesame cookies, this afternoon, I baked more of these cookies again :)

I have managed to filled up two containers with lovely flower and star shapes :) At that moment, when I saw my sis kept coming back to the baking tray for my cookies, I had an idea!!!
I decided to made more of them after Xmas pack them nicely in a bottle and distribute them to my granny's kueh stall. My granny will then help me to sell these cookies for the coming CNY :)

hehehe that's my first step of my mini business to earn more $ :) Cheers!

Makan all the way from 7.30am

Time: 7.30am (22nd Nov 08)...Clock ticking

And so that Saturday, both Darling Tootsie and myself met my colleagues (Mr L, my immediate superior, Ms J, Ms C)...the rest really cannot make it! So young yet cannot get up early for dim sum at Hong Xin.

Hmmm I must say the dim sum wasnt really fantastic just that the rest were fascinated by the "Ye Zi Mei" size meat bun! Both Darling Tootsie and myself have seen and eaten it before. The bun in circumference is like 16cm wide hehehe.

After dim sum, as highly anticipated, we can finally head to Mr L, bachelor pad. He stayed opp Jurong Pt so we actually shopped at Jurong Pt, renting scary movie (The Exorcism of Emily Rose), bought some snacks up to his place:) Mr T met us at Jurong Pt with his handmade brownie.

Finally! Woo! Mr L's nest is clean and neat :) Hmm half a day spent at Mr L's place, watching the scary movie, laughing and commenting Mr L's photos when he was young. More ppl came with Mr & Mrs PDA, Ms J and hubby to be, Mrs L and her shy daugher (always hiding behind her mummy).

After having Mr L's dessert (Fu Zu Yi Mi), we had Mr T's baked choc brownie with vanilla ice cream.

With all the dessert, our stomach is half filled, this was followed by KFC Family Feast in the evening for dinner. We were really really full by then. However we need to finish up the Kuehs that Mrs L has bought for us. So..we used these Kuehs by having a "heart-attack" session and the person who was beaten on the hand the most, shall eat those Kuehs :S

Guess who! Me lor! End up I ta bao the Kuehs back sobsob.

Though it was quite a sinful makan session last Saturday, but it was really fun and I look forward to more session of these gatherings:) Oh yesh! This Friday Fish Spa with the same gang of ppl :)

KARMA KARMA

LOL.. This is a lesson to Mrs Tootsie that she should keep her mouth shut..

After that joke about her brother's friend who got hit by some birdshit, Mrs Tootsie has been talking non stop about bird shit. We were at Orchard along Royal Park Hotel the other day and upon hearing the calling of the birds, she commented that the birds here are very "guai".

"Look at the floor" she said "Its so clean, the birds here don't anyhow shit"

So the birds decided to explain to her why the floor along the pavement in orchard road is so clean.

Because...

the birds shit on people!

and the lucky person is our dear Mrs Tootsie.. hahahahahahahahahahah

But actually we don't know if its shit or not cos its not white but red in colour. I believe its some berries the bird ate? We're not sure whether its shit or not. I was thinking maybe the bird ate the berries and did not digest it? And it straightaway just shit out?

I don't know.. any ideas?

There goes my chicken!!!!

....there goes my chicken drumsticks that I have asked my mum to buy for me so that I can cook for Darling Tootsie this weekend. I have cooked once before the chicken with oyster sauce and darling Tootsie gave me thumbs up for the dish. So this time round, I intend to cook chicken drumsticks instead and these drumsticks were freshly bought from the market as compared to those frozen type.

Mummy just recovered and yesterday she went to do marketing to help me buy the drumsticks....to her disappointment, I am sad too in fact!....I absent mindedly left the chickens at darling's car!!!!! Frozen stuff cannot be left overnight in the open and it will turn bad very easily...so I have no choice but to throw them down to the bin.

Darling Tootsie...sorry no oyster sauce chicken for u:(

More wedding preps....

Sooo....its back to some updates of Mr and Mrs Tootsies' Wedding Preps

Darling Tootsie and I have already bought our wedding bands...and as for the next wedding preps....I must really thank Nana Darling for spending her Saturday weekend last week to come shopping with us for our wedding songs. Nana darling is a perfectionist and detailed person so the CDs that we have chosen have gone through her QA check. PASS!! Also thanks to the recommendation of the pretty CD shop assistant too. At that CD shop, we have spent almost like $109 for all the CDs we have bought for our wedding. Hmmm and last Sunday, I happen to hear the Remix of XXX song from the same shop again!!!! (** Sorry cant reveal out to you guys...). I have decided to play for the gate crashing song....its a fast remix. Have tried to search and download that remix song but its not the style I want it to be....so Darling Tootsie is okay for me to get that CD just for that song remix!!! Yeah!!! (** In the meantime, I will try to load from internet and find the remix song )

Muacks to Darling Tootsie.

There is nothing free in this world..

Except when you don't pay for the food you order and walk away..

Haha.. that is exactly what we did today.

We were at XX cafe today having some cakes and coffee. We were happily eating, drinking and chatting and when its time to leave, we completely forgotten about paying. We just walk off. The waitress even say goodbye to us, not noticing that we did not pay.

It was only until dinner that we realise that we did not pay. haha..

Road awareness

Saw this from some car forum. I found it very interesting. Based on real life stories I guess which will really touched people and change their thinking. And its not always about speeding as speeding does not kill!!!!

Reckless driving kills!!

Drink driving kills!!

Speeding DOES NOT kill!!

Which remind me of the stupid advertisement..

"I am XXX, I am XX years old. Please look out for me"

Hello, I think you should look out for me, not I look out for you. I hate it that all the responsibility is pushed to us drivers. If this idiots choose to kill themselves we drivers can't stop them right?

No, I only see houseflies flying around your head

Mrs Tootsie: Hey Boss, can I borrow your blood pressure kit? cos I feeling giddy.

Boss: ok, no prob.

Mrs Tootsie: Do you see butterflies flying around my head?

Boss: No, I only see houseflies flying around your head (This is a joke on Mrs Tootsie as her chinese name sounds like houseflies in chinese)

"Ya, you accidently call me and I keep hello you, you don't talk."

"Oh.. haha.. HEY WHERE IS MY HANDPHONE?" Mrs Tootsie panicked.

*big drop of sweat flowing down my face*

The WORST movie of the Century

And so both darling and I have planned to go to Mr and Mrs PDA house for a Chocolate Cake Making session while the guys play Wii. It was a fun session at Mr & Mrs PDA house. However the movie - 20th Century Boys spoilt our holiday evening. It was super duper draggy and again please you scriptwriters....if a movie has once got those Mask thingy mysterious effect (like the Death Note, L world) please DONT COPY AGAIN. You just lost your originality!

First was my darling who dozed off and then it was me. This movie I shall say is the WORST movie of the Century and its not worth any popcorns! Arggg...stupid me! Spend $5.50 on a Gourmet Chocolate Pop Corn to watch that show!

FYI....there's even a continuation of this movie...I am not gng to spend my $ on this movie!

Hmm attached are some of the photos we took :)
Healthy Lunch meal made by Mrs PDA

Hee the cake may look awful..but taste YUMMILICIOUS!!! Even Mr Tootsie wants to ta bao lor!

The Rat who challenged the morning peak hour traffic

So this morning I was blur again. I was suppose to drive straight on but I turned into the highway and had to pay 50cents ERP for nothing again!!

But while turning into the highway, I spotted on the 2nd lane a rat trying to cross the road. I was so worry for it as it was in the morning! peak hour! high traffic volume! It ran as fast as it could and I thought it safely got through to the other side but when it reaches lane 1, it was ran over... on the tail... i think. Cos it struggle on the floor and could not get up. I'm thinking the tail must have been crush into the road and its stuck there. By then I had already pass through it so I don't know what happen to it.

I hope its alright but I think thats not possible. Most likely sooner or later a car will crush it.

Amitabha..

You want to press my breast ?

Yesterday I was on the bus and it was pretty crowded. I stood in a corner when my chest lean directly against the pole where the door bell is.

Just then, there's this young chap excusing himself. I turned and looked at him (*feeling weird why he said excuse me...because there's no way I can move, its so packed).

So I looked at his face and he gave me a very "shy" look and said: "Excuse me, I need to press the door bell."

Oppss!!! Only then did I realise my chest or breasts lar is blocking him from pressing the door bell ahhaah...the moment he said that I quickly leaned back slightly and turned my head to the other corner and giggled.

Upon alighting, I really cant control myself from giggling and called Darling Tootsie and told him this joke. Both of us had a good laugh.

I SQUASHED A LIZARD!!

Yes I was walking into my room when I felt something wet on my feet. I was thinking.. how could there be water in my room? The funny thing was that I did not even felt anything when I step on it, I only thought it was water. That is how heavy I am compared to the puny lizard.

Anyway I'm not a "bian tai" person. Of course I felt guilty crushing it like that(I said a silent pray for it). And the tail was still moving!! I was hesisting whether I should end its suffering once and for all. But I could not bear to do it. Yes this is one of the debatable topic on whether it is right to kill it to end it suffering or that its wrong that I should not take a life.. well..

So here is the pic.. Something to gross you out! hahah..

The emotional side of Mr Tootsie

Yeap I will be staying overnight tonight at Darling's place and he will drive me back to my hse tmr morning to get changed for work :)

What makes me stay overnight ?!? Its this HK drama series Catch Me Now that made darling and I want to finish the whole 20 episodes and yes we just finished it. Its indeed a nice exciting show and guess what!!!! ...let me tell u a secret!

I caught Darling tearing! There's one part of the show that made me tear and when I turned my head to look at Darling Tootsie, half of this face was already buried in his fav pillow. When I came nearer to him, his eyes were red!

5 "curry fishballs" (my fav fishball snacks) for this drama! And soon we will be following the next drama - Moonlight Resonance. Another HK drama marathon!

Nite Nite...
Mrs Tootsie.

Our wedding "major" To Dos

And finally today we have done all the major "To Dos" for our wedding (Hotel, Bridal studio, Videographer and Photographer).

This afternoon both darling and I signed the contract with our actual day photographer Bobby . We have finally decided on him, after seeing a few other photographers works, we still like Bobby's style as he specializes in journalistic styles catching people's expressions. Well how do I know him? All thanks to Facebook, I so happen to spot his ad and view his portfolio. After showing to Darling, he was impressed too.

Do take a look at his work :)

http://www.bobbyleong.net/
http://one.bobbyleong.net/ (that's Bobby's blog)

And what a coincidence, one of my fren Ms J who is getting married this Dec, her photographer is from http://www.1950photography.com/ and both photographers actually know each other and link to each other in their blog. I din know only when Darling told me hehehe (not observant)

Alrightey, before I end this relaxing day and heading to my bed for another day at work tomorrow, I wish Darling Happy 1 yr 10mth Anniversary !!!!

Darling will be at Batam for a project on site tomorrow :) interesting ! Have fun working!

Cheers,
Mrs Tootsie

Carrot Cake for u :)

Cedele cafe just opened at my office lobby in mid Sept. Have tried their food, not exactly nice except for the soup.

Yesterday at work, before I knock off, and soooo looking forward to today's holiday, I bought Cedele's Signature Cake - Carrot Walnut Cake. My oh my...it tastes like heaven!

My cake for Darling :)

Yes! I made it! With my love making this choc cake..I let my family try and its a perfect 10! My bro said very spongy.

I did try and frankly speaking its comparable to those bakery shops (oppss not shy) except that I shd put more chocs since Darling loves Choc. Even mummy said its very spongy. :)

Reason why I made this cake ... keke actually I am quite a competitive person. Darling once commented so far his first gf made the best cookies...till now those cookies that I made for Darling...darling tried once and from his expression, I knew its a failure.

So to you Darling, this is the first better looking cake I made for u! :)

Our 3rd step towards our wedding prep ...almost completed

Yeap darling! Dont grumble! Firstly I think I am blessed...though my darling or should I say most guys, are such a last min person, I am glad I have found a very compromising partner :) Yes our 3rd step that is finding our videographer and photographer is almost completed. We have chosen them and more or less by this weekend we will be signing the contract with the photographer:) and both of us love his photos! By then I have to say...we can rest le. Yeah!

Yes I know darling is tired..so do I esp when I am already so stressed at work. As I am afraid he will be getting busier at work, So I really plan well ahead in order to avoid the coming days or months when Mr Tootsie is going to get busy at work. Seriously speaking, esp for my own wedding, I like to get my partner involved. Even if your partner is rich, throw u a sum of money, and you do it either yourself or with the company of your good friends, then I am sorry to say I am not that kind of person. This wedding prep will be worthless to me then even if I can have money to spend on anything I like for my wedding.

So this is it!!! Looking forward to get a good deal with our photographer :) Hoping he is available on my big day.

Cheers Mrs Tootsie

Mr Tootsie: I will follow you.. the weddings is about you :) To be a happy bride.

The busy days is almost over.. or is it?

So ever since we got the selection of our house and decided to get married, we've been busy with wedding stuff. Yes.. even though our wedding is still a pretty long way to go. We've found our hotel, our bridal studio, our videographer and photographer. All the major stuff are settled. Yeah! No more "Darling, this saturday go XXX hotel/bridal studio la?"

I'm basically a last minute person. Yes I was wrong about the hotel thing. I didn't know people are so kaisu to book the hotel so early!! But the rest...need to so early meh?

I hope with all these major stuff settle I can finally get some rest.. But somehow I know I cant....

The time has come!

Yes rumours, speculations, and as expected my co has been acquired.
So was it a bad or good news to me?? Honestly speaking, my mood is neutral be it whether my co is now being acquired by the world's leading co in the industry that I am working at, with a workforce of 95000 employees. I am very practical right now. $ is my top priority. I just hope my bonus will be better as years goes by...but still my mood is really very neutral. Maybe I am sick of what I am doing now...having been in the logistics line for more than 6 years starting from my first job in a SME to MNC. I will still continue with what I am doing becuz I have still got lotsa things to take into consideration:)

I still want to work though, but I have not find that ray of light that makes me look forward to going to work everyday. Maybe I just have not plucked up the courage and confidence to do something that I want. I am still searching.....

You readers...dont tell me ur work right now is of ur interest? Afterall in this fast growing country with such a high standard of living, $ to us is our top priority.

Well, currently I still feel abit stressed over the new sys that I am using, but I seem to have changed. Thanks to darling. U have made me ponder and changed my mentality of what is being responsible. I will be responsible in what I do, BUT I will not be overly responsible. Right now I am having a "take it easy" attitude. I just want to feel relaxed. This will go on for my well being :) Becuz work is always secondary to me. Cheers!

OEI! OEI!

Mrs Tootsie stayed over last Friday nite as we had to run some errands early next morning.

So I was sound asleep, when Mrs Tootsie woke me up ask me whether I had a dream cos I "Oei" her twice. lol.

I was actually dreaming that I was at my old flat. The one with a corridor outside. I went out of my room in my old flat and I saw this auntie standing outside using my phone inside through the window. So I "Oei, what you doing?". And I went back to find my mum to confront her. And when I came out again I saw that my front door was actually open too! And she was brave enough to continue using my phone when I "Oei" her once already! So I "Oei" her again and that is when I got woken up by Mrs Tootsie.

Mrs Tootsie was actually having a dream of her own as well... when my 1st "Oei" woke her up. She thought nothing of it and went back to sleep but I "Oei" the lady the 2nd time remember? So she woke up again to wake me up to ask if I was dreaming.

I woke up and I remember my dream and I started to laugh. Unable to control myself. lol. Mrs Tootsie also laugh along with me and together we laugh for quite a while before we could stop and fall back asleep again...

KINOKUNIYA

We were having our japanese class when Seisei asked Mrs Tootsie to answer a question.

The sentence started with kino(meaning yesterday) something.. and Mrs Tootsie just read "Kino.. kuniya" lol. I almost burst out laughing. And a girl in our class tried to control but we saw she burst out a little laughing.

So I ask Mrs Tootsie why she say kinokuniya? I would have thought her explanation was something like oh I was thinking of kinokuniya in my head so when I read kino... I end up reading kinokuniya.

But.... she explained that she read kino and she duno the word after it so she was lazy and just read kinokuniya. lol..

I duno how to comprehend this girlfriend of mine... haiz..

Our Second Step for our wedding

Sorry guys...as I was telling Darling Tootsie earlier on...our blog is dusty now :S hehehe
Partly due to our laziness and also we are rather busy lately at work...house selection..and in the midst of preparing for our big day next year. And finally we have completed the second step for our wedding prep....the selection of our bridal studio :) We have finally decided on Di Gio. Of all the 4 bridal studios that we have seen, Di Gio made us feel like a family. We feel their sincerity esp the designer whom we will be working with her in early Jan 09 for our 2 MTM gowns and she will start to design in Feb 09. I am very excited and now both our Tootsies' rooms are piled with bridal magazines:P. I recently bought 2 more bridal magazines for 2009 (with the support of Darling tootsie's mum, as she knows every girls want a perfect wedding :) That's what Darling tootsie's mum said: " As long as you are happy, I am happy" :)

For the following weekend, we will be choosing our ROM date and meeting the photographer before we made our choice of our actual day photographer. Hope everything falls in place nicely and smoothly...

Cheers
Mrs Tootsie

Early Birthday Celebration for Darling :)

As planned on the 9th Aug (National Day), I took Darling Tootsie to Morton's Steakhouse at the Oriental Hotel. On our way to the Oriental Hotel, the security outside the hotel was really tight because of the national day celebration opp at the esplanade. We were questioned by the securities the reason for going to Oriental Hotel.

At Morton's, the ambience, the services is alot more nicer than Lawrys' when we had celebrated our 1yr anni there. As for the steak, the standard is about the same just that both of us thought that Morton's indeed has provided a very good service. First appetizer was the bread. Frankly speaking, the bread looks nothing, just that it looks rather huge in size though. BUT after taking the first bite in our mouth, both of us were like...MMMMM ..... this bread is sooo soo crispy and nice...We have never eaten such nice bread except the ones we ate in Switzerland. Other than that, all the breads sold in Singapore or served in those western restaurants were normal bread.
Both Mr and Mrs Tootsie's give our thumbs up to Morton's Steakhouse. The waiter who served us was afraid that we cant finish the main course if we keep eating the bread, that he suggested he will pack the bread for us ! That's very nice of them :) We didnt know that take away services are provided in such high class restaurants.

However it wasnt a very good day for me as I was down with body aches, bad flu. Now coughing badly. But hope Darling Tootsie appreciates for what I have planned for his bday celebration before he leaves for Melb tomorrow night. I made a choc cake for Darling Tootsie. ...."Too hard and sweet" was his comment. So to conclude, it was a failure...sobsob. Darling Tootsie's enjoyed that Morton's bread more than my cake lor!!!! Hmph...happily eating even after a hearty dinner at Morton's. Oh yes, share with you guys a little secret ...psss Mr Tootsie dropped one of his eye lash when he was happily drinking the lobster bisque :P See below pics:)

"Ta bao" Morton's "Lo ti"

One of our dish - Lobster Bisque...and guess what!!! Something dropped into Mr Tootsie's Lobster Bisque

Yerr!!!! Mr Tootsie's Bushy Long lashes dropped.

Mr Tootsie's Rib Eyed Steak...Juicy Yummy!

Happy Early Birthday to Mr Tootsie! Will miss u!

Our Wedding Venue

Finally we felt quite relaxed after confirming on 31 July 08 with the Manager of Pan Pacific Hotel to hold our wedding next year. We spent almost 2hrs at the lounge negotiating as many complimentary perks. Overall we were pleased with the perks we have negotiated :)

Upon which , we met Mr Tootsie's buddy Mr T and his Indonesian wife Mrs T. Its been quite a while since I last saw them during their wedding last yr. But the most unforgettable and special thing abt this couple of Mr Tootsies' is that Mrs T is born in the same yr, mm, dd as me! :)
I really like this couple as they are very humble and generous even though they are wealthy. No wonder Mr Tootsie wouldn't blink an eye when giving them a big ang bao for their wedding.

To Mr T, though you will be away to venture on your design business in Shenzhen for 6 mths and will staying there for good with Mrs T, we thank you in advance for coming back to SG for our big day. Not to forget ARA, my good fren cum colleague from Mexico whom I met during my 4 mths business trip in Switzerland...I thank you also for coming to Singapore to share our joy! Both Mr and Mrs Tootsies feel so honoured! :)

1st step almost completed.. many more to go..

So today we finished looking at the last and 4th hotel.

PanPac's ballroom was impressive. Perhaps the most impressive one among all. It can hold up to 65 tables.

Intercontinental: We were not that impressed with the wedding planner. Maybe bcos someone has already tentatively booked the date we want so she doesn't seem that enthusiastic. She never give us as much information as the other wedding planners.

Mandarin Oriental was Mrs Tootsie favourite shortlist. It has a reputation for its food. Ballroom was ok but themes was very very nice. We both remember that one particular theme (dreamz)clearly after the meeting with the wedding planner.

Regent has nothing that impressed us. Location was also bad. Only attracting thing is the price which is cheaper than the other hotels.

It was suppose to be the last but my parents suggested another one. Marriott. So we will be going to this last one sometime this week and we'll make our decision soon.

But currenly we have narrow down to PanPac and Oriental.

We saw RONALDINO!!

We were at Oriental Hotel today when we saw a coach driving in blocking our path. We thought it was a group of tourist on a day tour or something but then we heard Woos and Ahs and in front of us was 2 Malay boys taking pictures.

Whats the commotion I thought.

I wanted to leave but Mrs Tootsie hold me back. Then we saw yellow uniforms. It didnt struck me that Brazil was here for a friendly match. Only until Mrs Tootsie mention that it could be Brazil that this piece of information came to me.

So I saw Ronaldino right in front of my face!! OMG I was so excited!!

A call...thank u

Today I received a call....from nana darling's fren, a beautician of a facial salon. I was caught by surprise when I answered the phone call.

Nana darling, thank you so much :) On the facial recommendation :)

Looking forward to my facial session after I take the package :)

Luv Mrs Tootsie

First Preparation for wedding

My first wedding prep is to start on facial. Was looking at one of the packages offered by a beauty salon. A facial package is not cheap afterall, plus products everything, I will need to spend about $2k plus....

Just recently I have already spent almost $2k on my 1yr yoga package. Yes partly becuz of the wedding but the yoga package is more for my wellness. I should stop being a couch potato. And dont be surprised....Mr Tootsie is addicted to yoga so much so that he also extend his package to a 1yr package.

Was msn-ing with Darling Tootsie on our wedding preps ...

Darling Tootsie =>says (11:58 PM):
dun worry i will pay for everything

Darling Tootsie => says (11:58 PM):
juz make sure u'r a happy n beautiful bride

I was exceptionally touched by the last sentence ...but I wont let my darling tootsie pay of course. He has spent alot on me.

Thank you darling!

Luv Mrs Tootsie

** More preps to come along and I must really thank Mr and Mrs PDA for their wedding tips too.

We are getting married

It all began when we started searching for a flat. After the fourth try, we finally got a flat and the queue no. is 3!! its like we strike lottery!! Now waiting anxiously on the date for our flat selection
So Mr and Mrs Tootsie will be starting a new journey together...

These days Mrs Tootsie has been doing research on hotel banquets and making appointments with them. Being KS, I called the hotels that we have shortlisted and din know there are ppl more KS than us. Some of the hotels that we have shortlisted are fully booked or tentatively booked. This left us with 3 hotels with ballrooms available for us on our special day. Coming week or so, we are going to finalise on the hotel that we will be holding our wedding banquets.

Mrs Tootsie admit she is a "gan cheong spider" but which gals dont want a almost perfect wedding with no disappointments. Indeed Mrs Tootsie is someone who plan things ahead. Though Darling Tootsie is more relaxed but Mrs Tootsie does see a different side of Mr Tootsie. And Darling Tootsie just found sth interesting on the web for our wedding banquet and its really interesting...we both like it :) we shall keep it a secret first :P
Who knows more surprises popping out of Darling Tootsie's mind.

Well more updates coming up for our wedding prep :)

Luv Mr & Mrs Tootsie

Anyway the "french kissing" name was actually given by Mr T when I mentioned to him about the duck tongue...and he replied: " A duck tongue in the mouth, wasnt it like french kissing ?"

Hmmm interesting word to use.

My Preying Mantis

Oh my You are not only adorable but soooo soft

mmmm....

Ta darrr.....Such an adorable Cat....Looking at her I just cant bear to eat it but sorry Softey, I just cant resist the temptation :P Oh my!!! Yummy!!!

Pictures taken during our Anni

Sorry guys....I must admit that I am getting lazy to blog and will only feel like blogging when I have the mood..just like now :)

As promised in my previous entry on "Clovey my carebear", I talked about our Anniversary Dinner at Labrador Park. Yeap the dinner there was rather a surprise to me. At times Mr Tootsie just like to spring surprises.

So we had our dinner at this restaurant - Villa Seafood Galleria. As it's opening hrs is from 6pm and we were early, we took some pictures of the surrounding.

Well, thumbs up for the nice surroundings...not exactly amazing but its peaceful :) minus the MOSQUITOES that fed on my legs!!! arrggg ....

As for the restaurant, both Mr Tootsie and myself find that the food is nice though esp the Drunkard Prawns and Beef Steak...Yum Yum..however a THUMBS DOWN for their service:

1) The waitress fail to change the plates and utensils often.

2) We ordered a Sea Bass, waited for quite some time and when we asked for our fish, we were told that there's no more sea bass and the waitress had the cheek to tell us that they have changed the fish to Cod Fish.

I was so pissed off that I actually told off the waitress, why did they change our order without telling us. We cancelled that dish of course, and its a good excuse for us too keke....as we felt so full from the yummy 300gms of drunkard prawns, fried scallops, beef steak and soup. We ordered a bowl of dessert before we end our dinner :) Dessert is nice too !!

Labrador - That's where we had our dinner

Daylight: Nice pool outside where you can hold your ROM too :)

That's the restaurant where we had our dinner

We saw 1 bentley and ferrari both with the number plate 11

Upstairs...Moon Ladder at Labrador

That's the cosy area facing the sea at Moon Ladder

Did Darling booked the whole restaurant??

Yum Yum 300gms of Drunkard Prawns

Juicy, Tender Beef Steak

Night: That's the night scene of the pool :) Cool

Have you explore Labrador Park Yet ?

Cheers,

Mrs Tootsie
